Legislation, AB 758. The bill requires the California Energy Commission (CEC) to develop and implement an energy efficiency program for all existing buildings. Global Green has been meeting with key stakeholders to build consensus around a set of shared principles to present to the CEC Commissioners, & will be working with leadership in the legislature and Governor's office to ensure that the state budget includes the funds necessary to hire staff to fully implement this program.

Energy efficiency is one of the best tools we have to move away from burning fossil fuels and save consumers money. Look for future updates regarding the AB 758 implementation effort and let us know if you are interested in getting involved! For more information, please email David Fink at dfink@globalgreen.org.
